Mid-May and in full swing
The events have been going really well. Even a very windy Mother's Day didn't bother us too much (although a handful of wallpockets broke).
Amy has great success whenever she's able to vend her beads, but the Moss Street has reached a jewelry quota so she can't show her stuff there. Not to worry as galleries are picking it up and we do have other events coming along.
Platters from wine bottles are the most popular. Windchimes get a lot of good comments but sell at about half the rate of the platters. I guess it's the ease of giving a platter as a hostess gift.
Apart from adding a new kiln schedule to drape those scratched up yard-sale glass plates that are sooo easy to get hold of, we have been pretty much sticking to the schedules we've used before. The draping schedule also works to unwobble bottles and to firepolish (bonus!) It's a very slow ramp up (mostly 150) to about 1350 depending on the glass. So nothing breaks.
