results of bottles

Last time's neat trick with square vinegar bottle (kiln carving the word "olives") almost worked but not quite enough definition. I did use the texture behind the thinfire paper so maybe that needs to be eliminated. And the bottle slumped over to one side.

The Mateus bottle didn't quite drop far enough so it's got a round bottom. I should use shorter furniture for the drop ring or fire a wee bit longer. Today I've put this one in again to get that next bit of drop and a flat bottom.

Also I'm cooking a bunch of molds I made on the weekend (perhaps foolishly) and including some masks and other glass bits. It's a long long kiln run today.... since the ramp up has to be very slow for the molds and the ramp down has to be slow for the glass.

Should all be okay though, right? :-)
