planning for drop ring run

Of course the kiln hasn't even finished it's cycle, and I won't be able to peek till tomorrow (probably not before work). But I'm already planning for the next firing, which should be for more drop rings and slumping I think.

So - there will be several disks (and rings) to work with, and the big platter and the mask! And this cycle should be okay for the three wall pockets whose top pieces are fusing in the kiln right now (no more trying to do all the steps there at once! I have learned to be patient!) This would be a good time to try some weaving as well.

The last time I did a drop ring the schedule was 1340 for 17 minutes --This time I'll probably go just a notch lower (1335) and maybe a bit less time (maybe 12 min?) as I doubt anything will be quite as thick or need to drop quite as far.

Ooh I can't wait.
