Results of the aborted mission

Well, it's 12 hours since the cool-down started and there's still quite a bit of warmth in the kiln so I only opened it a crack to peek. Pictures will have to wait till later.

The droprings did drop and one had slipped through proving that:
a. I did the right thing by stopping the sequence
b. next time I really do need to ensure that the disks are a bit larger compared to the ring. Probably a full inch is required and it must be perfectly centered.

Kilns should have windows! But at least this experience has provided a fabulous opportunity to see what things look like part way through. Once I can take the pictures these will be a great reference for future.
