That cracking sound

Good thing that tack-fusing was the only thing I was trying to accomplish yesterday -- as I look at the platter -- I realize that there are cracks in it (hard to see since it's so many pieces tacked together). I know I lifted the lid too soon so being patient is definitely required. Also, the silver inclusions are a weird yellow colour. In spite of this, I will fully fuse and slump this piece into the oval mold (made from fiber board) -- and see what happens.
