Getting closer....

The results from the latest firing are getting closer to what I dream of, but it was still too hot and/or too long and things stuck to the shelf (cleanable) and fused a bit too fully.

The big piece of stained glass that already had a crack in it did the opposite of healing.... it cracked in more places, devitrified and now is unusable! As I've learned, red is a difficult colour and any glass will contract if it starts out thinner than it wants to be. That's the only unusable result from this firing though. I have lots of bits and pieces to play with. (So does Amy, who will be wire-wrapping dichroic cabs for the next while)

Here are some finished pieces. (Note that I've discovered cold-working and now sand some of the rough edges which makes a huge difference to the feel of a piece)
